What counts as one analysis?

One credit per finished analysis of one video. Transcribing a saved clip costs one from the same balance. If the download, the transcription or the AI step fails, you keep the credit — we only charge on something you can actually read.

Do unused credits roll over?

No. Your allowance refills every month — on annual plans too, so paying yearly buys the discount, not a year's credits in one lump. Pick the plan that matches the pace you actually publish at.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, from the Stripe billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Yes: 3 analyses on the house, 2 saves a day and 1 connected social account for publishing, no card. The three analyses don't refresh — a paid plan is what tops them back up. Basic is $20/mo for 50 analyses a month, 50 saves a day and 10 connected accounts; Pro is $49/mo for 100, unlimited saves and 50 accounts. Paying yearly takes 20% off either one.

How long does one analysis take?

About two minutes for a typical Short. You get live stage-by-stage progress (download, scene detection, frames, transcript, analysis) rather than a spinner, and you can leave the tab and come back to it in your library.

What's actually in a report?

Accepted Answer

A shot-by-shot storyboard: one row per shot with a keyframe, framing and camera move, the hook technique it's using, the spoken line, and a recipe for recreating that beat yourself. Long shots are split into 1–3 second sub-frames, finer inside the first 3 seconds where the hook lives. Reports cap at 60 rows; nothing gets rejected for being too long, the pacing just coarsens to fit.

Do I upload a video file?

No. You paste a link and we fetch it. The post has to be public: a private, unlisted, deleted, or age-gated video can't be downloaded, and that failure never costs a credit.

Can I analyze my own videos, not just competitors'?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and plenty of people do. Any public link works, including your own. It's the fastest way to see what your first three seconds are actually doing versus what you intended.

Why did my Instagram Reel fail?

Accepted Answer

Instagram is in beta and public-only. It's the most hostile of the three platforms to automated downloading, so Reels fail more often than TikTok or YouTube. When one does, you keep the credit. Retry in a few minutes, or use the original TikTok or YouTube version if the creator cross-posted it.

Do you keep the video after analyzing it?

No. The download is deleted as soon as we've pulled the frames from it, and the working directory goes at the end of the run. What we keep is the report and the keyframes it references, so your saved analyses stay readable.

Which AI model do you use?

Accepted Answer

A frontier vision model, reading the keyframes and the transcript together in a single pass — the visuals and the words judged as one thing, because that's how a viewer sees them. We move to the best available model as they ship rather than pinning one, so this isn't a brand promise. Transcription is Whisper. Every plan gets the same model; paying more buys credits, not a smarter analyst.

Can I export a report?

Two ways, both on the report itself: the storyboard as a spreadsheet with the keyframes embedded, for handing a shot list to an editor, and the transcript as an .srt you can drop straight onto a timeline. PDF export isn't built yet.

How do I get better at writing hooks, not just reading them?

Analyze five videos in your niche back to back and the repeated patterns stop being invisible. The hook guide walks through the techniques the analyzer names, with examples, so the labels in your reports mean something.
